QR codes for teachers.
A QR code on the board or a worksheet saves the minutes lost to typing long links. Students point their camera and they are there.
Sign-ins, exit tickets and quizzes
Make a Google Form QR code and print it as a poster by the door for attendance, or show it on the last slide as an exit ticket. Students do not need a Google account unless your form requires one.
Class resources
Put a link QR code on worksheets that opens the reading, video or slides. For a video, a YouTube QR code opens it straight in the app.
Parents and open evenings
- An email QR code on newsletters opens a message to you with the subject filled in.
- A form code on the open evening poster collects sign-ups for clubs or trips.
- A Wi-Fi code gets visitors onto the guest network.
Tips
- Codes projected on a screen should be at least a tenth of the distance to the back row.
- Reusing the same printed poster each term? Make it editable and point it at the new form each time.
